HS-420 Series - Intrinsically Safe Accelerometer

A range of intrinsically safe accelerometers suitable for vibration monitoring. The HS-420 series measure vibration as a velocity in mm/s with a 4-20mA output. HS-422 series measure the vibration as an acceleration in units of g with a 4-20mA output. The sensors come with a variety of cables and mounting options.

Hazardous Area Approved

Product details

Application

  • Low cost online means of monitoring with the capability of interfacing direct into PLC, BMS or any 4-20mA input module. Proven use in vibration monitoring for offline applications using commercially available data loggers.
  • Protecting, Fans, Motors, Pumps, Compressors, Centrifuges, Conveyers, Air Handlers, Gearboxes, Rolls, Dryers, Presses, Cooling, HVAC, Spindles, Machine Tooling, Process Equipment and many more.
  • Suitable for use in hazardous areas.
Velocity (mms) is the most commonly used vibration signal and is fairly independent of the vibration frequency over the range 10Hz to 1kHz. This is useful for monitoring slowly rotating machines.

Acceleration (g) is most widely used when the vibration frequency is in excess of 1kHz.
